5K a year The distribution manager oversees the day-to-day operations of The Legacy Cabinet Company's (TLCC) Distribution Center.
This position provides effective management and direction to maximize resources, increase customer satisfaction, increase productivity, manage cost control, and achieve company-wide goals and objectives.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES Oversees daily activities of scheduling for distribution employees and temporary employees, based on business requirements.
Maintains best-practice business processes for inbound and outbound logistics transactions within Software Applications and Products Business 1 (SAPB1).
Reports relevant distribution metrics.
Maintains cycle count and physical inventory processes within SAPB1 in conjunction with all relevant TLCC business units.
Reviews ongoing performance results to targets.
Takes corrective measures, with authorization, and escalates as needed.
Performs all duties and responsibilities in a timely and effective manner in accordance with established company policies to achieve the overall objectives of this position.
Keeps direct reports promptly and fully informed of all problems or unusual matters of significance and takes prompt corrective action where necessary or suggests alternative courses of action that may be taken.
Performs all necessary managerial functions, including performance reviews, to effectively and efficiently manage the personnel assigned.
Ensures proper training of personnel assigned.
Promotes The Five (5) Safety Rules and ensures they are built into the day-to-day operations.
Double-check work area, be attentive when working with electricity and equipment, prevent fires and maintain fenced areas, wear appropriate safety apparel and gear, and keep first aid kits readily available.
Performs other duties and responsibilities as required or requested.
