Essential Functions:
Accounts Payable Perform day to day financial transactions, including verifying, classifying, and recording accounts payable data.
Verify and investigate discrepancies, if any, by reconciling vendor accounts and monthly vendor statements.
Generate reports detailing accounts payable status.
Understand expense accounts and cost centers.
Understand compliance issues around accounts payable process (W-9 sales, etc.
).
Reports status of payables weekly.
Receivable Prepares, posts, verifies, and records customer payments and transactions related to accounts receivable.
Creates invoices according to company practices; submits invoices to customers.
Maintains and updates customer files, including name or address changes, mergers, or mailing attentions.
Facilitate payment of invoices due by sending bill reminders and contacting clients.
Identifies delinquent accounts by reviewing files, and contacts delinquent accountholders to request payment.
Creates reports regarding the status of customer accounts to Management or others as requested.
Investigate customer discrepancies and past-due amounts with the assistance of the other staff.
Copies, files, and retrieves materials for accounts receivable as needed.
Relays changes of information to appropriate employees Reports status of receivables weekly.
Billing Daily customer invoicing Credit/debit creation and tracking as needed ?Assist with customer setup - proper remit details ? New prospect credit checks and existing customer credit monitoring and credit limit tracking Payroll ? Input employee time data Collect employee signatures on time cards biweekly PTO tracking Benefits coordination/tracking Other duties as assigned including light sales support and administrative tasks.
Relevant Skills and Knowledge:
Familiarity with basic accounting principles and practices Strong knowledge of AR/AP processes and procedures Excellent Excel proficiency required Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and recordkeeping Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Ability to work independently and meet deadlines Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal Proficiency in 10-key typing for efficient data entry Job Type:

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
