We are currently looking for an experienced, compassionate, and career-oriented Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP-BC) in Madison, Al.
Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner Job Description Our PMHNPs work alongside IBH's excellent psychiatrists and therapists to provide clinical medication management and therapy.
PMHNPs are an integral part of our treatment team! This is an in office position at our outpatient clinic in Madison, AL.
We cannot hire Physician Assistants or CRNPS/FNPs/AGACNPs for our clinics, and will only hire Board Certified PMHNPs for this position.
Psych NP Salary and Benefits Salary starting at $110,000/year Malpractice insurance provided Quarterly bonus Health Insurance premiums are shared by IBH Short Term Disability provided Long Term Disability provided Life insurance provided Continuing Medical Education, including $500 for fees paid License fees paid up to $500 annually 200 hours of PTO Contribution model 401K Incentive call pay In-house billing and credentialing Psych NP Responsibilities Diagnose and treat common acute psychiatric problems, illness, and crises Psychopharmacologic management in collaboration with psychiatrist Provide individual psychotherapy Care for and counsel clients with common identified chronic psychiatric conditions Coordinate and integrate multidisciplinary services for clients with complex psychiatric problems Endorse Brainsway TMS Therapy Monitor common health care problems and refer for specialized medical treatment as needed Provide comprehensive family psychiatric-mental health education Work with clients and their families in anticipation of developmental milestones, life cycle events Perform or recommend age-appropriate screening procedures Promote wellness oriented self-care Advocate for psychiatric-mental health clients and their families Psych NP Position Requirements Active and unrestricted Nurse Practitioner license in state of Alabama Ability to work without direct in-person supervision and practice autonomously Sound understanding of all federal and state regulations including HIPAA and OSHA Excellent verbal and written communication skills Proficiency with Microsoft Office products (Outlook, Word, Excel, etc.
) and electronic medical records.
