Store Manager - Retail Building Materials

Our client, a multi-location retailer in the Southeastern United States is looking to hire a Store
manager
. Responsibilities will include utilizing current lumber/hardware knowledge as well as learning the policies and procedures of our company while assisting in the following duties; developing monthly, quarterly and annual plans alongside the District Sales Manager in order to meet company goals for operations and profitability. Recruit, lead, and motivate employees to attain personal and store goals. Ensure quality Customer Service through personal interaction with contractors and retail customers. Must be a positive leader with a dynamic personality!

Responsibilities:
- Manage inventory levels by ensuring that the proper ordering, receiving, pricing, and merchandising procedures are followed.
- Oversee store and yard operations.
- Recruit, hire, and develop outstanding sales and service oriented staff to meet operating and sales objectives.
- Develop skills and product knowledge of the store team through training, evaluation and role plays.
- Meet and/or exceed financial and sales goals established for the store.
Position Requirements:
- 3
years direct managerial experience in Retail or a similar industry.
- Previous knowledge of sales, management, and operational excellence.
- A proven ability to execute long and short term sales strategies.
- A proven ability to network, recruit, interview and develop associates.
- Comfort level with Retail Point Of Sales (POS) systems.
- A valid driver's license is required.
