This GTO was delivered from the factory in Starlight Black with a black convertible top and black leather bucket seats, center console with a Hurst His and Hers dual gate shifter and a custom sports steering wheel.
Also included on this GTO at delivery were redline tires, power steering and full soft-ray glass throughout.
A later, comprehensive restoration included a color change to red and a mechanical refresh including a rebuild of the distributor from legendary GTO tuner Milt Schornack.
This beautifully restored example has spent the past 26 years in Alabama with the current owner.
Included in the third-party inspection report are photos of the overall condition of the vehicle which show minor cracks, a paint chip on the hood, and minor surface rust underneath and on the engine block that are consistent with normal wear and tear.
A dent is noted on the rock guard under the driver side door.
The convertible top operates well.
Mechanically, the inspection and owner confirm that the vehicle runs as designed.
A road test indicates a squeak from the fan belt with increased acceleration indicating some adjustment may be required.
The overall condition of the vehicle is commensurate with the mileage.
Included with the sale are the build sheet from the Pontiac Historical Society, a reproduction window sticker and a note from Milt Schornack after he rebuilt the distributor.
